These terms are the rules for using momandbot.com, our weekly email, and anything else we offer under the mom and bot name. By using mom and bot, you agree to them. We’ve kept them short and in plain words.
Who we are
mom and bot is run by FREEWING TECHNOLOGIES CORP. (BC1606691), a company in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. When these terms say "we" or "us," they mean us.
How we handle your information is explained on our Privacy page. It’s part of these terms.
What mom and bot is
mom and bot is a free directory of software and AI tools for small business owners. We describe what each tool does, what it costs, and when we last checked.
Our picks are information, not advice
We work to keep every listing accurate. But tools change their features and prices often, and we can make mistakes. Check the tool’s own website before you sign up or pay. What’s right for your business is your decision. Nothing on mom and bot is legal, tax, financial, or professional advice.
If you spot a mistake, email hello@momandbot.com and we’ll look into it.
Other companies’ tools and websites
We don’t make, sell, or support the tools we list. When you use one, you’re dealing with the company that makes it, and its own terms and privacy policy apply. We’re not responsible for what those tools do, what they cost, or how they treat your information.
Affiliate links and sponsored spots
Some links are affiliate links, labeled "Affiliate." We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Some spots are paid for by tool makers, and they’re always labeled "Sponsored." Paid and affiliate status never changes a tool’s ranking. Being listed is free, and you can’t pay to get in or to move up. Our How we pick page explains more.
Our weekly email
If you sign up, we’ll send you about one email a week. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.
Suggesting a tool
You can suggest a tool, including your own, by emailing hello@momandbot.com. Being listed is free. We decide what to list, where it ranks, and what we say about it, and we may remove or change a listing at any time.
Sponsoring
Sponsors agree to the terms on our Sponsor page as well as these. We review every first-time sponsor and can say no.
What you may not do
Please don’t:
- Use mom and bot for anything illegal or to harm anyone
- Copy large parts of the site, or scrape it in bulk, to republish as your own
- Try to break, overload, or get around the site’s security
- Send us spam, or pretend to be someone else
Our content and name
The mom and bot name, our logo, and what we write on the site belong to us. You’re welcome to share links and quote short bits with credit. Tool names and logos belong to the companies that own them.
No promises beyond these terms
mom and bot is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that the site will always be available, error-free, or complete, or that any tool we list will work for you.
Limit of our responsibility
To the extent the laws of British Columbia and Canada allow, we’re not responsible for any loss that comes from using mom and bot or any tool you find through it. That includes lost money, lost data, or a tool that didn’t work as described. mom and bot is free, so if we are found responsible for something, the most we owe you is US$100.
Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have by law that can’t be taken away.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top. If you keep using mom and bot after a change, you agree to the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts.
